Pena.ger e. V. is a nationwide, digital advice center for refugees. Our work is designed to be easily accessible, multilingual, and location-independent, with a particular focus on refugees living in rural areas who have limited access to migration or social services.
Our central aim is to make advice available through digital accessibility and multilingual communication where it is otherwise lacking. It is independent of time and location, free of charge and on equal terms.

- Contact form: Those seeking advice can write to us directly and easily via our contact form, Instagram or email – without detours.
- Quick response: We strive to respond promptly and according to need: in the language that the person seeking advice understands.
Digital visibility and relevance to everyday life
Many of our clients use digital platforms in their daily lives. Therefore, they can easily reach us via Instagram and email.
We regularly provide information on asylum law issues, support services and current political developments.
Furthermore, we are actively involved in press and public relations work to highlight structural challenges and enrich political debates with the perspective of refugees.
Language mediation through a volunteer network
Through our events and networking efforts, we have been able to build a nationwide pool of volunteer interpreters. They accompany people seeking advice, including by telephone, to appointments with authorities, for example.
We ensure:
- Clarification of needs beforehand
- Individual coordination and scheduling
- Raising awareness and training language mediators on topics such as data protection, role clarification and communication
By refugees for refugees – creating opportunities, also within a team
A central focus of our work at Pena.ger eV is the active involvement of refugees, not only as people seeking advice, but also as active participants.
Our goal is to offer protection, advice and guidance
while simultaneously opening up perspectives for long-term participation, qualification and secure residency options both within the team, in our advisory practice and in society.
We understand participation not as a benevolent offer, but as a consistent stance:
Refugees should become visible, heard, and effective as experts in their own lives. We want to not only support refugees, but also offer them real opportunities for participation and a long-term perspective of remaining in Germany, in accordance with immigration law , through qualifying activities at Pena.ger eV.
